在虎尾糖業文化路徑眾多錨點中,虎尾驛可謂是最不可或缺的重要角色。除了曾為虎尾糖業文化路徑傳遞者五分車的精神指標,與虎尾糖廠更是僅僅一道欄杆之隔。驛站前方不停前行即可到達虎尾糖廠的廠區門口,驛站後方更是可以一覽廠區內部、五分車及糖鐵鐵軌。

虎尾驛最早始於1907 年,今日所見之車站為二代車站,為1930 年興建,至今已超過百年,雖然虎尾糖廠多有維護,不過歷經百年歲月,整個日式建築不免受損。需整理的範圍包括後方日式木棧板地板、欄杆扶手、電力照明設施及民眾休憩空間等。這些地方的修繕除了維持歷史建築的狀態外,亦能改善虎尾驛園區民眾使用之安全,以利於糖業文化的推廣。
Huwei Factory Station was first established in 1907. The station you see today is a second-generation station, which was built in 1930. It has been more than a century ago. Although Huwei Sugar Factory has been maintained for a long time, the entire Japanese-style building has inevitably been damaged after a hundred years. The areas that need to be sorted include the rear Japanese-style wooden pallet floor, handrails, electric lighting facilities and public rest spaces. In addition to maintaining the status of the historical buildings, the renovation of these places can also improve the safety of people using the Huwei Station Park, which will facilitate the promotion of sugar industry culture.
空間精神 SPIRIT OF SPACE
戶外主要以木質調色系,立面上必須重新審視雨淋板、地坪與休憩座椅之間的關係。意圖環視虎尾糖廠五分車運作視野上的地景關係,企圖將平台空間創造成為台糖廠區與虎尾驛站內的中介空間,連結戶外相關資訊,並且成為虎尾糖廠地景文化的起點。
The main color scheme for the outdoors is wood, and the relationship between rain shower boards, floors and seating must be re-examined on the facade. The intention is to look around the landscape relationship in the five-car operation view of the Huwei Sugar Factory, and to create the platform space as an intermediary space between the Taiwan Sugar Factory area and the Huwei Station, to connect outdoor related information, and to become the starting point of the landscape culture of the Huwei Sugar Factory.
